Consign 639 does not accept unannounced "drop-offs", so if you are interested in consigning with us, you must contact the store to set up an appointment to bring your item(s) in to be viewed. Please go to our "Contact" page to set up an appointment. If you are interested in consigning furniture or large items, it helps to email photos, or bring photos with you to your scheduled appointment.
What percentage is the commission?
Our commission is as follows:
35% split for items sold over $50.00
45% split for items sold under $50.00
How does Consign 639 determine the price of my items(s)?
Consign 639 will appraise each item and bases price on...
- What the consigner (you) paid for the item(s) new
- The condition of the item at present state
- The current retail value of the item
- The consumers' (general public's) demand for the item(s), (e.g. the more popular and "saleable" the item is, the more it is worth because it will sell faster)
Are my items guaranteed to sell?
Unfortunately, we do not guarantee any sales, as the economy changes everyday, and the consumer's preferences are subject to change as well. But we do our best to help you sell you sell your item(s) through several different means.
How many days do I have to sell my item(s), and what happens after that time period?
Your items are consigned for a period of 90 days. After the first 60 days, you may pick up your items at anytime. After 90 days, the items may be considered abandoned and will become the property of Consign 639. Higher priced items may be considered for a second consignment period at a lower price or taken to auction if agreed to by both parties. It is the consignor’s responsibility to contact us and make the arrangements after our contract ends. It will not be our responsibility to contact you.
Furniture
Dinning room sets and kitchen sets are always popular. Sets must have sturdy chairs with seats in good condition. Tables must be free of damage and signs of wear. Hutches, china cabinets, corner cabinets, buffet servers and curios are all good sellers (cherry, mahogany and oak are most desirable.)
Bedroom Furniture
Bedroom sets, dressers, bureaus, end tables and bedroom accessories are always in demand.
Upholstered Furniture
When it comes to upholstered furniture, leather is always our best seller. We accept sofas, recliners, side chairs, and other upholstered pieces. Upholstered furniture must be in PRESTINE condition or it will be rejected. No rips, stains, kitty hair, animal or cigarette odor. If it’s upholstered and it’s not in perfect condition, we do not want it.
Accent pieces
Coffee tables, end tables, bookcases, floor lamps, table lamps.
Home Décor
Pottery, complete dish sets, pictures, mirrors, hanging light fixtures, rugs, flatware/silverware complete sets, colored glass, lead crystal and other quality decoration pieces.
Rugs
We are one of the few consignment stores that will take rugs. We are looking for oriental and/or decorative rugs. They must be bound without any loose fray. They must be free of stains, wear and defects. Rugs must be perfect in order to sell.
Art
Wall hanging art, oil paintings, sculpture, quality framed prints and art glass.
Appliances
Appliances less than 3 years old. If we do decide to accept your appliance consignment, it must be within the following guidelines:
- You must deliver it to us.
- It must be immaculately clean and in new condition.
- No dirt, no damage and no scratches.
- You must be willing to stand behind it and guarantee it for 10 days after it is purchased.
We will also except newer flat screen TV’s (the type that can be wall hung). No older TV’s or console models.
Damaged or broken items that are in need of repair or refinishing, cracked or chipped items, baby items , kids toys, clothing, dirty upholstery with tears and stains, light fixtures that need re-wiring, mattresses, computers, extremely dated furniture (unless antique.). We do not accept exercise equipment, sporting goods, magazines, luggage, clothing etc.

Discount
Consignment items are displayed for ninety (90) days. They will be discounted based upon the following schedule:
01-30 days --- 0% discount
31-60 days --- 20% discount
61-90 days --- additional 20 %
